Booking policy

1. Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of a 100 percent pre-payment of deposit and the reservation may be cancelled without prior notification should the payment requirements not be met.
2. Reservations made less than 14 days prior to arrival requires a 100 percent pre-payment within 24hrs of making the reservation.
3. Reservations made 14 to 30 days prior to arrival requires a 100 percent pre-payment within 48hrs of making the reservation
4. Reservations made more than 30 days in advance requires a 50 percent deposit within 48hrs and the full payment should reach us at least 14 days prior to your arrival date

Cancellation fee policy

1. Cancellation fees are based on the following calculations, which will always exclude the commission due to Coconut lodge :-
   1. 61 days before arrival - 15 % cancellation fee applicable on the total accommodation amount.
   2. 60-45 days before arrival - 25% cancellation fee applicable on the total accommodation amount.
   3. 45-31 days before arrival - 75% cancellation fee applicable on the total accommodation amount.
   4. 14 days or less 100% cancellation fee applicable on the total accommodation amount.

NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE GIVEN FOR EARLY DEPARTURE.

Even when the full amount is refundable, the minimum cancellation fee will be charged.

Moving dates policy

When moving a booking from one date to another a 10% admin fee will be added to the booking and if accommodation is not available at such date the cancellation fee policy will still apply.

Reservations

1. 1. Weekend booking will have to include the Friday and Saturday nights.
2. 2. Single night accommodation over weekends might be available 5 nights prior to weekend, or upon arrival without booking if it is available.
3. 3. The night before any long weekends is considered a peak rate evening. Most long weekends have minimum stay requirements.
4. 4. It is your responsibility to make sure of the accommodation you have booked and its facilities:

4 SLEEPER CHALET Equipped kitchen with gas hob , microwave oven, and fridge. Own bathroom and deck.

4 BACKBACKERS ROOMS Sleeps 4 persons each with the use of the communal ablutions.

8 CAMPING DECKS with private kitchens (Equipment can be rented at a daily rate…this will include a fridge, gas hob, microwave, cutlery and crockery for maximum of up to eight people per deck) a list will show exactly what is included. Use of communal ablutions.

Express conditions

1. COCONUT Lodge reserves the right to change tariffs and rooms/decks numbers without prior notice.
2. The Management DO NOT EXCEPT LIABILITY FOR LOSS, DAMAGE, INJURIES OR INCONVENIENCE CAUSED by weather conditions, or theft of any kind. Please do not leave any valuables unattended.
3. Note that you are entering and using the facilities at Coconut Lodge at your own risk.
4. Loud music or unacceptable behaviour is not permitted at the lodge and Coconut Lodge will have the right to remove any persons or instruments causing the disturbance of our other guests.
5. Drugs of any kind or the use thereof are NOT PERMITTED at all and the Police will be asked to solve any such problems immediately…NO EXCEPTIONS will be made at all.
6. No exceeding of persons per unit will be allowed.

General

1. NO TABS will be run at the lodge…make sure you pay in cash at Coco's Tavern and for any other excursions or services rendered.
2. Please pay the tips for personnel at reception. We will make sure that it is distributed among all the personnel in a fair manner.
3. No open fires are allowed on decks!!!
4. Please do not move your "braai" (Barbeque) onto the wooden decks.
5. Please note that towels are not provided, you must bring your own.
6. The bottom gate will be locked at night, please ask the night guard to open the gate for you when needed. This is for the safety of all our guests.

Arrival time

Arrival time must be before 20h00, unless prior arrangements had been made in advance.

PLEASE REMENBER THAT YOU ARE IN MOZAMBIQUE AND POWER OUTAGES DO OCCUR, WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO MAKE EVERYTHING AS EASY AS POSSIBLE BUT WE CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR IT.

WE ARE IN THEIR COUNTRY AND THUS SUBJECT TO THEIR WAYS AND MEANS WITHIN LIMITS

Activities

PAYMENT MUST BE MADE UPON BOOKING

It is your own responsibility to be at Reception 15 minutes before we depart…if you fail to do so the group will leave and you will forfeit your booking.

Jacuzzi

1. Please note that you will have to make a booking at Coco's Tavern for a 30 minute time slot as to ensure that everyone has a chance to enjoy it.
2. No diving, swimming, playing or loud noise will be allowed.
3. No naked persons will be allowed in the Jacuzzi
4. Please ensure that proper swimming clothes is worn for hygienic reasons
5. Sorry, no naked coconut babies inside the Jacuzzi.

The use of the Jacuzi is for Coconut Lodge guests only.
